Payment and Refund Policy
Last updated: 23 September 2026
Scope of This Policy
This Payment and Refund Policy applies to all purchases of courses and related services offered by fameviber. The courses focus on live production decks and control rooms, including multi-camera switching, live broadcasting techniques, real-time video operation, and professional management of television and streaming productions. It covers both online digital access and any in-person training sessions delivered within the United Kingdom. The policy governs transactions made through the commercial website and explains rights and obligations for customers located in the United Kingdom.
Prices, Currencies, Taxes and Additional Charges
All prices are displayed in British Pounds Sterling. Value Added Tax at the prevailing UK rate is included where applicable for consumers. No hidden fees apply to standard course enrolments. Additional charges may arise only for optional extras such as extended access periods or printed materials, which are clearly shown before payment. Currency conversion fees charged by banks or card issuers remain the customer's responsibility and are not controlled by fameviber.
Accepted Payment Methods, Authorisation and Security
Payments are accepted via major credit and debit cards, bank transfers, and approved digital wallets. Each transaction requires authorisation from the payment provider before the order is confirmed. All payments are processed through secure third-party gateways that comply with UK data protection standards. fameviber does not store full card details. Customers receive an email confirmation once payment has been successfully authorised.
Order Confirmation and Contract Formation
A contract forms when fameviber sends a written confirmation email following successful payment. Until that point, no binding agreement exists. Course access details are provided only after confirmation. Customers must review all details carefully before completing payment, as the confirmation email serves as proof of the agreed terms.
Cancellation Rights and Periods
Under UK consumer law, customers have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of contract formation during which they may cancel without giving a reason. This right does not apply once digital content has been downloaded or streamed, or once a live course session has begun. Cancellations must be notified in writing to [email protected]. Refunds for eligible cancellations are processed within the timescales set out below.
Refund Eligibility, Exclusions and Non-Refundable Items
Refunds are available for cancellations within the 14-day period provided no course materials have been accessed. Courses that have commenced, promotional bundles already redeemed, and customised training packages are non-refundable. Technical issues caused by the customer's own equipment or internet connection do not qualify for refunds. fameviber may offer discretionary goodwill refunds on a case-by-case basis.
Requesting a Refund: Step-by-Step Procedure
To request a refund, customers must email [email protected] with their order number, full name, and a clear statement of the reason. Supporting documents such as screenshots of access issues may be requested. Requests received outside business hours are processed on the next working day. Incomplete requests will be returned for additional information, which may extend processing times.
Inspection, Approval, Rejection and Notification
Refund requests are reviewed within five working days. fameviber examines whether the cooling-off period applies and whether any exclusions are relevant. Customers receive written notification of the decision by email. Approved refunds proceed to the next stage; rejected requests include a clear explanation and information about alternative remedies such as contacting the relevant ombudsman service.
Refund Method, Processing Time and Receipt of Funds
Refunds are returned to the original payment method. Processing typically takes five to ten working days after approval, though bank processing may extend this to fourteen days. Customers are advised to check their statements regularly. If funds have not appeared after twenty working days, they should contact [email protected] for further assistance.
Special Rules for Digital Content, Subscriptions and Services
Digital course content is supplied immediately upon payment, which waives the standard cooling-off period once access begins. Subscription renewals are charged automatically unless cancelled at least seven days before the renewal date. Promotional offers are subject to the same refund rules unless stated otherwise at purchase. Live sessions missed due to customer unavailability are not rescheduled or refunded.
Failed Payments, Duplicate Charges, Chargebacks and Fraud
Failed payments result in the order being placed on hold until resolved. Duplicate charges are investigated promptly upon notification to [email protected]. Chargebacks are treated as disputes and may lead to temporary suspension of access pending resolution. Suspected fraudulent activity is reported to the relevant authorities and may result in permanent account termination without refund.
Mandatory Consumer Rights
Nothing in this policy affects statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, or UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. These rights cannot be excluded or limited. Customers retain the right to seek redress through the courts or alternative dispute resolution schemes operating in the United Kingdom.
